  17. There is a little trick you could do to accomplish this. Whether it works 
  18. or not *may* depend on the number of fields involved. It would be safer 
  19. to do it on the RAM: disk. Just copy the .sbf, .sbd & index files to 
  20. RAM:, remove/export all records and remove all but the first index, then
  21. close the file. Now you can load the *.sbd file into your favorite text
  22. editor and use cut & paste or insert the other *.sbd files you want to
  23. merge into your original *.sbd file. Save this *.sbd file, then you can 
  24. open it back up with SBase and recreate the indexes again. If you had any 
  25. original records in the other databases, you can go through a series of 
  26. imports to put it all back together. First, open only the fields that 
  27. were in the first DB and import the records from that DB. Second, open 
  28. only the fields from the second DB and import the records from the 2nd 
  29. DB. Continue like this through all the DBs that are being combined.

  31. This may sound more like a hack than a solution (these 2 are sometimes 
  32. the same). :-)  It's worked for me many times. If this wasn't very clear, 
  33. send me an e-mail and I can go through it step-by-step. You might also
